Background: Jakub Wojcik
Jakub moved to the UK from Poland at the age of 8, with no ability to speak English. This experience shaped his future interest in helping people connect and form long lasting groups. Whether through introducing people to Dungeons & Dragons, or organising semi-regular gaming sessions with a large group of friends. Jakub has engaged in a range of volunteering opportunities and professional pursuits supporting people with disabilities, and sees Quest Mentoring as a fantastic way of continuing to do so through his love of video games.
Expertise:
Jakub has a wide range of experience in problem solving and communication, often in very difficult circumstances. Previous experiences in the armed forces, police, and private security, have equipped Jakub with the ability to remain calm even in very demanding circumstances.
Jakub benefits from a background in hospitality, which combined with his time as a martial arts instructor, leads him to a patient, sociable, and friendly approach to supporting the individual growth of others.

Interest:
Jakub has an extremely broad range of interests, chiefly spurred by a love of learning new things and engaging with the unfamiliar. From lockpicking to tree-watching to skateboarding, Jakub has tried a variety of hobbies. When not looking for a new activity to try out, he engages with his passion for storytelling through tabletop roleplaying games and board games. He also keeps busy through his musical projects as a bass guitarist.
