Background: Pod Macdonald
After 10 years as an industrial Chemist, Pod retrained to become a teacher and has since taught Chemistry for about 30 years. He has taught at State and private schools and also has experience of homeschooling. Pod has been a computer gamer since the days of Pong and has a wide experience of tabletop games of all sorts. He has also studied martial arts of various sorts gaining several blackbelts. He has also been involved in reenactment groups of various types over the years as well as engaging in Larp events for over 40 years. Pod has been working with the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People as a socialiser for puppies for over 18 years as well as previously working with Therapy Dogs Nationwide.

Pod is a very experienced teacher with a wide variety of strategies for accessing new ideas and content. He has taught students with a wide variety of capability and enthusiasm as well as students with a wide variety of SEN. He has acted as a tutor and mentor for the last 30 years with success at an award winning school. He has taught martial arts including weapons and battlefield tactics.
Qualifications
Biochemistry BSc, PGCE, safeguarding and first aid trained.
