Background: Erin Mackenzie
Gaming became a refuge for Erin through difficult times at school and college. Experiences with bullying and health challenges shaped a strong desire to help others with the empathy and understanding she once needed herself. Her love of storytelling, video game narratives and lifelong passion for art have made her a highly visual thinker. Erin brings this creativity into self-reflection and mentoring, encouraging others to “learn to speak their own language” by building self-awareness, understanding their physical and mental states, and becoming more curious about themselves.
Expertise
Personal experience of different kinds of trauma lends Erin a great deal of insight and compassion. Offering kindness, patience, and guiding others on how to apply those aspects to themselves.
Being neurodivergent herself, she has an appreciation for varying mindsets and ways of thinking. Since an early age, she has spent a great deal of time in a variety of acting environments leading to a deep vocabulary of expression. Her learning and personal study of the importance of communication not just with others but with ourselves allows for flexible approaches that help to build confidence and self-worth.
